The setup

The rule was deliberately small: write before noon, one page minimum, log the outcome in the journal and study modules. No word-count heroics, no guilt about quality. The goal was to make the act of showing up automatic before worrying about any of the rest.

What the first month looked like

It was boring, which is the point. Seven days in, the routine stopped being a decision and became a default. The analytics showed a slow climb in consistency from the high-sixties to the low-nineties — and the interesting part was that the days I wrote were not better, they were just more numerous.

The miss that taught the most

One week, travel broke the shape entirely. The record kept that week honestly, and the dip was visible in the data. Instead of restarting from zero, I shortened the routine for that season. The shape flexed, the streak of the system — not the streak of the streak — held.
